SEASIDE COMMUNITY SOCIETY AND THE LEASE FOR COSTIN HALL
On September 28, 2023, Seaside Community Society received notice that the District of Lantzville will not be renewing the lease for Costin Hall. This means that as of March 28, 2024, Seaside will no longer be operating Costin Hall.
Seaside wants to thank the many volunteers that have helped with Costin Hall, Minetown Day and the many events hosted at Costin Hall over the years. In addition, Seaside wants to thank the long-term tenants for providing programs to the community. Without these many volunteers and program coordinators, it would not have been possible. Seaside has started to inform its tenants and member program coordinators of the termination of the lease. At the time of writing, Seaside has not been provided the District's future plans for the hall. No reason has been provided to Seaside for this decision.
Seaside is encouraging any of the user groups that wish to continue to use Costin Hall after March 28, 2024 to contact the District of Lantzville at 250-390-4006.
Costin Hall is a great place to hold meetings, dances, and participate in recreation activities. The Seaside Community Society is responsible for booking the Hall and would be pleased to provide quotes for rental of the building.
Costin Hall is a District-owned facility and is leased to and operated by the Seaside Community Society. The Seaside Community Society aims to bring a variety of programs and events to the community.
